As part of our celebration of the upcoming 8th Founders Day of Giving, employees are invited to internal screenings of "Let’s Talk Shop," the Wichita-focused documentary featured in the 2025 Tallgrass Film Festival. The film explores the golden era of local department stores and highlights the history of two iconic downtown buildings — ours, which was once the Innes Department Store and Macy's, and NICHE's building, which was Henry's. Learn more about the documentary.

While the film’s primary focus is on Wichita’s shopping past and the golden era of downtown department stores, it also highlights our building’s transformation into a medical education space. Former president Tiffany Masson explains how KansasCOM reimagined and revitalized this historic structure for the next generation of learners. You will also catch two familiar faces, Paul Gibson and Cinda Smith, who share their memories of the stores.

We will host two 1-hour screenings on Wednesday, April 8, both in Room 488:
12-1 pm - bring your own lunch
4-5 pm - we will pop popcorn!
